Uacrin, also known as Blood of the Wyrm (see The Isle of Wyrm), is an innately magical crystaline substance linked to warmth, light and fire.
When hit with a very specific frequency, it begins to emit a bright pale light. The frequency is not widely known but it is evident that the Izera people seem to be able to consistently cause this effect by hitting the crystal on the ground. They refuse to share this knowledge with outsiders as they see the material as sacred.
Uacrin acts as an arcane catalyst and amplifier of fire related magic. When added to common enchantments it can increase the potency of fire effects or resistances.

Metal treated properly with Uacrin gains the same properties as hot siccatite. Uacrin can also be used to halve the cost of any rune or spell with the fire trait. 1 bulk of Uacrin is required per level of the rune/spell.
