The Isle of Wyrm
The Isle of Wyrm is an island West off the coasts of The Meian Sea. Its climate is unusual for the latitude, being extremely humid. Where other areas of similar latitude are found to be dry, often consisting mostly of shubland and sparse trees, the Isle of Wyrm is home to a unique and diverse ecosystem of tropical flora and fauna.
The Isle of Wyrm and surrounding islands are home to the Izera, a set of small, independent villages, united under a common law set forth by representatives. The representatives are chosen by competing in The Trial of the Eye, in which participants must swim deep into the waters north-west of the island and return with a chunk of Uacrin, The blood of the Wyrm, a semi-opaque orange crystal found at the shores, which is known for its magical properties and ability to be turned into a source of light and heat.

The Izera consider The Wyrm to be their creator, and the Eye of the Wyrm to be the most sacred place in the world. The use of Uacrin outside of holy sites and rituals is strictly forbidden, and outsiders wishing to exploit the Izera’s seemingly endless supply of this usually extremely rare material are met with hostility, and sometimes violence.
There is a village settlement 235 miles South of the North-East tip of the Isle.
