Ember flowers are found only in the Ember Hills of [[ Vil Taroth ]]. The plants that bloom ember flowers appear as regular leafy grasses until they are watered with orcish blood. Within hours of being watered they bloom into bright red-orange lilies with dark red stamen.

Uses

Ember Oil Requires 1 bulk of flower per oil use. Ember flowers can be ground up and purified into Ember Oil. This process requires a pestle and mortar or some other alchemical equipment. When applied to a piercing or slashing weapon, the oil reacts with a creature’s blood and lights on fire. For 1 minute the coated weapon has the following effects against creatures with blood:

  • The weapon deals an additional 1d6 fire damage on a successful Strike, plus 1d10 persistent fire damage on a critical hit.
  • The weapon sheds bright light in a radius of 20 ft and dim light for an additional 20 ft on hit. This light persists alongisde any persistent fire damage from a critical hit.

Flash Pouch Requires 1 bulk of flower for 4 uses. Ember flowers can be crafted into flash pouches by carefully drying them over warm coals for 4 days then wrapping them in a flammable container such as linen, cotten or burlap. Flash pouches are L bulk and have the following use: 1 action, interact: The flash pouch hits a hard surface within 15 feet of you and pops, releasing a brilliant flash of light. All creatures within 10 feet of it must succeed at a DC 17 Fortitude save or be dazzled for 1 minute.
