Aloe, whilst common in the warm, arid regions of the Material Plane, is an extremely rare plant elsewhere. It cannot be transported to other regions in plant form, but stores well once refined. When refined it can be turned into many kinds of items useful in the treatment of burns and the resistance of fire damage.

A small amount of aloe is a common ingredient in the production of healing potions and potions of resistance, which is just one more factor in their prohibitive costs.

Where to find Aloe

The most common source of aloe is the shores of the Qalb Alsahra. The export of Aloe to the wider world is a major factor in the economic power of Khai-hoteph and its protectorates.

Aloe can usually be purchased for a discounted rate directly from a merchant in Khai-hoteph, but usually one would find it in an alchemical supply store, botanical greenhouse or other similar store.

Crafting with Aloe

Healer’s Gel

Adding Aloe to the recipe reduces the crafting time down to 8 hours.

1 aloe is required for the Lesser variant, 2 aloe are required for the Moderate variant, and 3 are requried for the greater variant. Each aloe added reduces the overall cost by 20gp.

Potion of Resistance
