Sul Le Vyre
Sul Le Vyre, which translates roughly to “Valley of Vyre” is a small city-state located in The Terrace along the Elder River. Sul Le Vyre was founded as a commune lead by the Vyrian church to focus efforts on worshipping Vyre the returner Valia, Vesille and Vyre.
Notable common practices in Sul Le Vyre include the raising loved ones from the dead, praising vampires and vampiricism, and allowing undead to feast on the living during certain rituals.
Due to the unsavoury practises of those living in Sul Le Vyre, many outsiders are hesitant to enter the country, though many new-found vampires travel there to avoid being hunted and killed by monster slayers.
The Church of Light is openly against the very existence of Sul Le Vyre, and has, on multiple occasions, sent paladins to attempt to topple the small state, to no avail.
Power Structure
Sul Le Vyre is a religious monarchy lead by an elected high priest, known as the Arch Vyre. Although not officially given power, many Vyrian priests also have high influence, similar to that of a noble in another country.
Legal Structure
The Arch Vyre has ultimate authority in Sul Le Vyre and as it is such a small state, they usually attend to issues personally. The laws of Sul Le Vyre are written in a massive tome carried by the Arch Vyre.
