Locations of Myth and Legend

These locations are either in an unknown position, move around, are innacessible, or do not exist. They may or may not show up in maps, and if they do, these maps may or may not be false.

The Library of Anēm

Pronounced an-eem

The Libary of Anēm is said to be a repository of all knowledge in the material plane. It is said that the library has an uncountable amount of scrolls, tomes and tablets, dating back to times before mortals roamed the planet.

It is said the The Library of Anēm has a great protector, who seeks to maintain the knowledge within and who will remove any who try to desecrate the library from existence.

It is said that once a great and mighty hero travelled across the ocean to the library to seek the ancient knowledge within, but when they returned they had gone mad, only being able to mutter incoherently about ‘The eyes of Anēm’.

The Sunken Akalios

Not much remains of the Alghollthu, an ancient race of underwater creatures that once ruled over many civilizations, but there exists rumors of a still-thriving city deep beneath The Meian Sea, known as the Sunken Akalios.

Ocasionally, ulat-kini and ugothol can still be found along the coasts and in marshes, though it is thought that these are simply monstrous remnants of the Alghollthu reign. (For more information on Alghollthu, see PF2 Bestiary pg. 12)

The Chasm of Perates

The Chasm of Perates is said to be a bottomless pit carved by the gods themselves. According to the stories of The Lights, when Verbunor the Shadow was trapped below the Earth by The Far One (before it was pushed out of the multiverse), the great hero Perates delved deep beneath the surface to find Verbunor’s prison, and brought with him a beacon for Greandor. Greandor used his mighty hammer to smash a giant hole through the surface for Verbunor to escape.

It is said that at the bottom of the pit lies the secret to restraining, or even killing, one of The Lights.

Eld Fen

According to obscure legends, Eld Fen is a force of immense power that can bend reality. Not much else is known about this phenomena except that it can supposedly be found in a forest, and is accompanied by a strange sound that causes people to go insane. Some believe that a chosen few can use the sound to locate the center of power, and in doing so gain riches beyond comprehension.
